Standard 20 Year Rust thru warranty. From the date of installation, the structure will carry a 20-year rust through warranty. This warranty shall be expressly limited to rust on framing elements and roofing materials provided normal user care and maintenance by the buyer. The structure will also carry a 90-day workmanship warranty from the day of installation.
Limited Lifetime Warranty For Certified Structures: Hartford Metal Buildings Limited Lifetime Warranty provides a structural and defect warranty on all framing and sheeting components of our buildings. Defects cannot be caused by customer modifications, negligence, an unanticipated Act of God or nature, an accident, or any type of internal or external impact. Improper assembly or installation may also void the warranty. The customer is responsible for performing standard building maintenance and inspections on a regular basis. We reserve the right to repair or replace any component that might not meet the customer or our expectations. The Seller warrants the building free from leaks for 1 year from the date of installation. Hartford Metal Buildings also warrants the structure will be free from defects in workmanship and that all doors and windows will work as designed for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation.
Warranty Terms and Exclusions: Any warranties provided by the Seller shall only extend to the Buyer and shall not extend to any heirs, agents, successors, assignees, subsequent purchaser, transferee, or any other person that is not a party to this agreement. Furthermore, any alterations, modifications or changes to the structure shall void this limited warranty unless said alterations, modifications or changes are completed by a trained installer, which has been approved by the Seller. Any abuse, misuse or damage done to the structure by the buyer or a third party shall void this limited warranty. Seller’s Standard Warranty and Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover any defects or damages caused by or resulting from: Earthquakes, Tornadoes, Tempests, Flooding, Hurricanes, Landslides, Fires, Lightning, and any other acts of God. This includes falling objects, wind loads, snow accumulation, and seismic activity in excess of those listed in the Seller’s specifications, marketing material, or certified engineered drawings. Inadequate user care and maintenance by Buyer including defects or failure in the foundation, unauthorized modifications to the goods, misuse, abuse, neglect, any defect or damage caused or contributed by the Buyer or any third party will not be covered by any warranty.
Buyer expressly agrees that its sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at the Seller’s discretion. The total cost of any repair or replacement conducted by the seller pursuant to this limited warranty shall not exceed the value of the structure at the time of repairs or replacement. Value is prorated as follows. (Cash price less 25%) / (Age of building in Years). Seller makes no warranties, express or implied, other than those expressly stated herein. Seller makes no warranty of merchant ability or fitness for any particular purpose and shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the structure, including but not limited to damage to other property. Original receipts and invoices must be mailed to the Seller with a written claim of warranty, including picture documentation. An action response will be given within 45 days of the said claim.
